Unsupervised apprentice painters
Got some time over the last few months an decided to build a table for the chisel mortiser. All recycled timber.
Selected the timber. Already had 4 legs from some other plan. Pics 1 & 2
Unfortunatley didn't do a full WIP on this one as it was just time here and there when I didn't have the apprentices. So it was just jointed on the tablesaw and sanded to 120 (good enough for this one) all M and T joints with hardwood pins for extra strength. So it was finished and the apprentice painter took over (unfortunatley they were unsupervised) and the little SWMBO (princess) knew where I kept the tints.
Here is the result.... Pics 3,4 & 5

Some time ago got a 4inch cross slide vice from Mjings and from posts on this forum and a few overseas decided to incorporate it as well. But didn't fell happy about drilling the cast iron bottom plate so I went and got a 6 inch one.
So here is the end result..
Pic 1. Riser blocks to cater for the addition height of the slide vise
Pic 2. The test drive
Pic 3. under cabinet storage.
All that is left it is to build the out rigger blocks to the same height as the vise.

Great to get the rugrats involved but I fear there is evidence of a couple of Code violations that I must bring to your attention. 1 Shed way too clean 2 Window dressings.
Call me picky but scrim in the windows just won't do.Mike

Neat shed. and I like the colour the apprentices chose.
Reality is no background music.
