Van Bed and Bench Seat Fit-out
Hi everyone! I was going up to Alstonville anyway about 3 weeks ago and my Girlfriend's Dad wanted me to make a fold out bed in his Van for when he goes surfing. It slides on Hardwood runners I made, and is held in its up and down positions with pins. The reason I did it this way is because he plans to have cushions on it and if it folded the other way the cushions would have to be removed every time you fold it up. Plus there wouldn't have been a backrest.(Hope I explained that well enough). The added bonus is that the whole thing is removable quite easily with two people. Downer is the fact that the hardwood runners are constantly sticking out, Not the worst thing though, and they only stick up 20mm.
Whaddya think?

Very neat Eldanos.
Much simpler than the slat beds I made for my drumming/surfing mates' vans.
I guess he will not have a problem finding wax for the runners.
I like the Wave carving on the end. Nice touch.Scally
