    Default walnut slab coffee table

Purchased three slabs a while back and used the smallest of the three to practice a few different techniques I hadn't previously used. Here is the end result. Has a few small defects but nothing too drastic

Very nice indeed. What did you use to fill the voids in the top?

I taped off the bottom and used a readily available casting resin as it said it cured clear. Seemed to do the job but it did take more resin than expected so I did it over two pours. Pretty sure it was Diggers Brand. The worst is measuring out their catalyst. It is in a 15ml drop bottle and they say 45 drops is 1ml and I needed about 3.5ml so I was sitting there count drops for some time.

    Thumbs up

I like the leg design. Good to see something a little different!

Thanks. Credit goes to David Stine Woodworking for the leg design if you see his work you'll notice my legs are almost an exact copy.

Very nice I like your style, not the usual everyday rectangle coffee table.

I use a 20ml syringe to try and accurately measure resin and hardener, only a dollar at the surplus shop and can be cleaned with acetone if needed.
