    Default Wedding Scroll

I made this for my beautiful daughter and husbands wedding. Sheoak and Mauri. Drilled out with a 48mm forstner bit then turned and finished with hard burnish organ oil. Flocking powder inside. Only one end comes apart the other is glued to the Mauri band. I made the stand out of some scrap jarrah and painted matt black. I think the curve highlights the scroll nicely. They were very surprised and happy with the gift. I now have another to make for another family after they saw it.

When I gave it to them people were wondering if it was something to dong her husband with. I had to explain that it was for holding the wedding certificate. It is 300mm long by 60mm diameter. The hardest part was actually drilling the holes...very slow to do.
