I nearly didn't cast my vote for the piece I did 'cos I suspect I know who made it and nearly biased myself to show "I'm being biased." Now I'll bet it won't turn out to be made by who I thought... and I won't feel guilty about being biased about being biased.

I'm rather surprised that #12(?) the mirror frame hasn't received more votes! That's a very nice piece of work and was only barely pipped by my final choice. Mainly 'cos it wouldn't fit my decor. (But I had to have some grounds to choose between the two. )
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

I think someone has a big grin on their face right now. Have a look at the shadow and direction of light. The 'Thinker' shadow does not come from the sticks.

NO! have we a scandal on the WWF?

The spurious shadow that's in the wrong direction might be from an infill flash.

    We need a swab!

Are you sure? Well it should. And It could. And if it doesn't I'm going to make one for myself that does.

Are we going to do something about #1? I mean seriously everyone knows it was a bit of fun. I think it is pretty funny too and I will even give a greenie to the maker. But please take the entry off.

Finally someone has come out and said it - i was trying to convey that 'nicely' in my post earlier yesterday The sticks do not match up with the shadow, noticed that straight away. The shadow is cast from another source Not too mention all the holes in the timber that don't appear in the shadow! haha

Enjoy, have fun! if it wins a prize then so be it. Who cares if it's a joke. It's an internet forum not the wood show...

Such controversyAlways seems to be controversy surrounding "Art", part of what it is I suppose, getting people looking and questioning.

Dont despair Wongo, there may not even be a fourth place, might be a three way tie for second

I never cease to be amazed at the variety of human behaviour... truly one opinion for any one head...

Of course the shadow of #1 belongs to Rodin's "Le penseur" (the thinker) and not to the sticks. The maker's intention (which I bet I know and know also the dig to another specific person implied in that work, read the sculpture forum! ) was in this innuendo, not to make anybody think it was the shadow of the sticks. Of course he expected too much from the viewers but it certainly was not a joke, albeit made in fun, and certainly should not be withdrawn. It will not get any votes for workmanship, anyway...

    G'Day All

I think surely eveyone knew the first one was a bit of fun, and very clever thinking. My entry was my first attempt at this type of work and of course is being judged as such, but look out 3 or 4 down the road

    Very enjoyable viewing.

    Cheers
