    I had a good long look at it and decided to give the benefit of the doubt, it's all a bit of fun and so on. I would be interested to know how many votes it got on technical merit because people thought it was actually casting that shadow...

    Yes that would be interesting......I'm betting that quite a few of the votes were because people didn't realise gauging from the comments in the thread anyway! haha

    Alas, you have an even poorer opinion on mankind than myself... I am betting that all of the votes were genuine expressions of longing for something beyond the mundanity of woodworking.
