nah I am going to send if off to Tikki so she can do Intarsia all over it make it look like a garden.

That wheel was hard enough. Just ask Ian about it. We knocked the big bits off with the table saw went to the bandsaw to get it closer to round and then in the lathe to make it round. Was not easy. A few bits got spat back at us.

It is wood, you don't see many wood wheels part of the charm, however when the snow and ice comes and I can't get out the front door I think I will make some spokes and curve them in an arc from the hub to the wheel. I guess 40 or 50 of these 2.5mm spokes and by that time the sun will have come up and the tundra thawed and it will be time to go shooting duck and hunting bear

Looks really cute Studley ... can just imagine the little tackers in that! Would love to see some pics when you use it.

Being the wine State, have you ever thought of using a half wine barrel as a prop? ... design a fancy stand (grape leaves perhaps) and get Ian to cut it on the bandsaw it for you

    Cheers

You would be a demanding boss there mate. I don't have a Leigh dovetail jig with the optional offset to allow for the angle.

Could dovetail it and then use darkside methods (aka file) to get the angle in the bottom

Glad you like it. Photoshop is a whole world of it's own there is a lot there that can be done

Pretty sure anyone could make this oges. The all you need is a picture of what you are doing in your head and an idea of how you have to arrange it all so it will go together.

I guess the two things that stop us getting stuff right are the rush to finish something and the not being prepared to stick with it long enough for it to be right. *L* this one has been on the drawing board for about 3 years. I am very glad to finish it as SWMBO was impressed after telling me for years that I can't do it as it is not going to do anything for our business having it. She just can't see things until they are real. Ideas are just no good for her. Anyway after pulling that off gives me some good leverage to say just back in your box woman and let me get on with it.

I'll JPEG up the rest of that series that guy came around the hairpin and buried his boot. There was a fair bit of understeer that took him that far out then sideways straight back at the inside where there was a pretty close to vertical hillside.

Then it slid back the other way then the other he almost did the dirt on both sides of the same bend. Anyway he got hold of it after seriously overcooking it and giving me a good dose of andrenalin.

There was an E Type that went straight into the barrier there which wasn't a bad photo couple of 911's got wide and slid giving me haircuts on the way past.

    Was a fun day out.

The guy in the Falcon must have gotten distracted smiling for your photo's

Nice new guard rail there, seems the Jag isnt the only one to come into contact with it.

I think you'll find the car hitting the guardrail is a TVR.
