Hey Zen, great idea! I am just finnishing off my new workbench and was going to put drawers under, just like my old one (only more to acomodate a larger range of DS Tools aquired since last bench was built) but you have given me a good idea! Think I will build a mobile with drawers on one side and clamp rack on the other! (I need to find a new home for the clamps anyway as they will be dispossed when I move they old w'bench, not having the steely character needed to through the old dear out!)
I need drawers for my chisel, otherwise rust would attack in one night and I don't have little plastic hoody things for them all anyway)

Looks like you've got two standard Veritas marking guages. Why?

So I can keep one at its setting while I use another one. Do it all the time. Once recently I wished I'd had a third.

The rack looks good. I emphasis completely with having multiple marking gauges. I've got 3 of those veritas numbers(One from my wife, One from my mum, and one from me.... birthday mixup (serendipity?)) ...I've operated on one of them though ....I've, um, bolted on a wider plate of steel to give more stability for scribing wide off the reference edge.....usually have the blade reversed for this too, for truing a board to width.....want the beveled shoulder part of the cut in the waste side of the cut...if I've described that ok. get ya a picture if interested.

    anycase, great idea Zenwood.
