    Hi NB,

One quick Q: The carcass appears to have dovetailed corners, so I'm a bit perplexed by the half-lap type of joint appearance on the bottom (in the first pic) corner?

Otherwise, it seems to be coming along rather well.

Love checks, especially the red and white ones.

    It'll look good when done

    Thumbs up

Nice simple design, neat work on the corners, lovely idea for the top,

Yep, should be a A+ mark for this one NeroBass.

    Good Luck!

    Cheers

Auld: I think the half-lap is an optical illusion. There's no lap, just the grain on the plywood bottom makes it look a bit that way.

Nero: looking good so far. I might have run the grain on the plywood bottom lengthways, rather than across, but it's no biggie. How did you fit the bottom?

Also: what species timbers are you using?
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.
