Inspired by Krenov?

Thanks for all the comments fellas.
Artme, it's not consciously Krenov inspired but I suppose there must be some influence there somewhere.
Initially it was going to be closer to the ground but as it turned into something for drinks I tried to make it a comfortable height to open and reach inside without bending down, and still be able to use the top for pouring drinks. The time we enjoy wasting is not wasted time.

Hi 3 toes,
Your Cabinet looks great. Loved your ABC explanation, it reminded me of a cornflakes pack. Didn't understand it, but I loved it all the same.
The jarrah looks great & D.O. will bring it up a treat.
I love working with Jarrah, & I was lucky enough to score an old Jarrah Pergola from a mate of mine a few years ago. I've used a bit of it, but I still have quite a lot left, but arn't the splinters a bitch. Hurt like hell.
Anyway, I think your design is wonderful & your workmanship is outstanding. Pitty you didn't make that deadline, but I am an expert at turning a 5min job into a 2 hour ordeal.
Can't wait to see the finished project.

Thanks for the reply Steve, I agree aout the Jarrah, a pleasure to work with.
I'm installing the side slats now. I trimmed the slats to final length and put a curve at the bottom by using a simple template and a straight bit with a guide bearing on the router table. Sanded all the sides to 240 grit, then chamfered the edges.
A couple of photos show the jig set up. I put spacers between the slats, clamped it all up and screwed the template to the spacers. I was then able to pick the whole thing up and trim the ends to shape on the router table.
One photo of a slat on the back of the triton fence for chamfering the corners/edges.
A close up of the finished chamfers- not perfect but I don't think it will matter.
Final photo shows some slats glued in, a bit slow as each one is done individually, but going OK.The time we enjoy wasting is not wasted time.
