    Whatever you decide about the handles it will look fantastic. Two beautiful projects crafted to perfection. Pleasure to see this kind of craftsmanship.

    It was AWR - have a look at AWR53 at pp48 - 55 for the concept and a bit of a how to. I reckon you could improve on that quite easily and make something really special that would really set your desk apart from the 'run-of-the-mill'.

    Unfortunately uncle Lignum’s ebony is not here yet. I couldn’t afford to wait any longer so I made the handles out of some scrap rosewood.

    I didn’t want to try to be too clever with the handles. I think a simple handle is a good handle and they turned out fine.

    Lignum, I will use the ebony for my next project.
