Woodworking (sort of?) ;)
I made this on my scrollsaw. It is standing on a Figured Anigre end table that I made.
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

I love the table but am curious about the timber.
What is it like to work, finish etc.

What pattern? For the table or for the figurine?

It finishes BEAUTIFULLY! I love it with a nice clear coat of Tung Oil or lacquer. It should have a natural finish to bring out the figuring. The coolest thing about that table is, you will notice how the front and back pieces appear to be darker than the sides. If you rotate the table 90 degrees to you, the front and back still look dark and the sides lighter. In the beginning the Universe was created.
