Morris Chair Complete .... well not quite
Almost complete. The upholstery still needs to be done as the covers are only temporary. But even so its very comfy
The frame has been lightly stained and finished with 3 coats of poly. The first coat was a 25% thinned sealer coat. Sanded with 400 grit once dry.
The second coat was 15% thinned wipe on coat. Sanded with 400 & 1000 grit.
The third coat was full strength and then sanded with 1500 grit and 0000 wire wool and polish to finish. It came up really nicely, with the arms having a very nice deep glass to them with the jarrah inserts in the arms coming out like polished marble. Very pleased with that
My wife has now requested one for her and a 3 seater to finish off the new lounge suite.Dust Mite...Terrorising noses for the discerning...
