    Default worlds simplest dvd rack

I know this is nothing special, but I thought Id just show an example of a dvd rack that is quick and easy to make.

The hardest part was the finishing, since I havent stained anything before, I totally botched it up, so it took quite a bit of work to get it to a state where it wasnt a total write off.

Anyways, this is simple pine, with and broom handles . At Bunnings, 25 mm tassie oak dowel is $20 + for 3 metres (in WA). Broom handles are about $3 each (and if there not tassie oak, they sure look like it..). Thanks to Sturdee for that tip.

Anyways, here it is. A simple DVD rack.

    cheers

Looks similar to the one I made but bigger. Well done, simple but effective.

Great stuff Redda's. Looks pretty good to me.

Have a green one for the great work with the dowel!

Looks just like the 2 CD racks I built

First one I stained after it was all together.. next one I stained befor I drilled the holes, and I wraped tape on the end for the sticks so stain would not get on them. After dryed, I glued it together. Easy

    Cool design.

How did you join the broom handles to the ends? I've had problems matching drill bits to dowel diameter.

    Any problem with sidways racking?
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.

I've found that. Bloody pain in the ass. I've always had to sand the end of the dowel down to fit the hole!

    How you do it Redda's?

I used a 25 mm forstner bit...... and had to sand the ends a bit....

no racking...in fact its quite sturdy, this is helped by the base.

    cheers
