Yep! another hall table
The table is made of black-hart sassafras. mortise and tenon joints on legs and apron and a dove tail joint in the stretcher under the draw. Draws are also dove tailed the top is held down with buttons, all sanded to 240 grit two coats of sanding sealer and five coats of lacquer.

I like the design and the workmanship!!
I feel that Sassy is a timber to be handled with kid gloves as it can be overpowering. To me there is too much of a good thing in an otherwise delightful piece.

Don't sell yourself short, Robbie. That's not "another hall table", It's a very nice looking item of furniture that will bring a smile to your face for years to come. Well done.

Ensure that it is located in a hall where your visitors pass - I doubt that anyone would be able to pass it without their eyes being drawn to it - nicely done.

Robbie a great table. I saw one very much like it on display as part of an art show at Macclesfield, part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival. The sassafras was lovely to look at and touch. (It had a price tag of $1250 on it) and I shall be surprised if it does not sell.

Nice like the way you have used the same bit of timber for all of the draw fronts.
