Default Art Show - wish me luck!

    Hi everyone,

We're still working on the house (a lot of 'unseen' sort of stuff, as houses are well known for - electrical, etc., etc.), but I am mainly concentrating on getting ready to put work in the Harvey Art Ex./Comp. mid-May. I'm hoping to put 10 works in 5 different sections. Still most of them to do, but I'll add them to this thread as I do them. Wish me luck, as I'll need it!

Btw - the crested Pigeons (which I might not put in the Ex.) is done with pastel sticks and pencils on good ol' sandpaper (quite a common 'paper' for pastel work)!

    Cheers,

    Jill

    Good luck

I like the background in that pigeons picture.....thats a nice green. to me it all really flows well.

And the pink ears on the child. Probably the best time to get a kid to pose for you !

    All the best Jill.

WOW - you guys (& Wendy) are such a great bunch! Thanks so much for all the encouragement!

I'm not making my own frames at this stage, Ashore, since my art time is worth more than my framing time right now!!! But any we put up on the walls of our new home (later - when we HAVE walls!!!) I will make some really different frames for.

I'm off to prime some masonite ready for my next pic...emus, but inspired by Cliff's post on this forum of the camels (3 or 4 threads ago) - thank you, Cliff! And Shedhand....emu leg roast coming up!!

I'll post the next 7 pics over the next 3 weeks or so, as I finish them.

Danita is going to put 2 works in, too - which she is yet to do.

    Cheers,

    Jill

The very best of wishes for you and your family Jill.

You have shown here what a wonderfully talented family that you have, so I feel confident that those skills will be recognised. All the same, various digits are crossed on your behalf

Do let us know how you fared, won't you please?

Thank you & good luck with the comp.

The camel photo was sent to me in a e-mail.
I thought it was worth posting as a good photo, I never thought about painting it...
