What a shame the kids couldn't enter an art show?
Do you belong to an artist group? Your work is pstels??? Is their a PAstel Society where you are??
Must be really hard living in the country as far as art goes..
Get the Australian Artists Magazine and have a look for art shows in there.. **smile**

Hi again, JJ,
The kids will enter their work in the local Show later in the year, but there may be others around - I'm still looking.
Don't worry, living in the country (not that we consider this to be 'in the country'!) has it's advantages, too! We have the perfect lifestyle to pursue art - native forest just through the fence, acreage with our own cattle, incl. a little calf you can cuddle while you observe the directions of the hairs, the patterns formed by the light and shadow on her fur, etc., plenty of native birds, an old farm shed, bales of hay, etc.!! Plenty of subject matter and inspiration! Bunbury is only about 50 mins away with a good artshop or two, a decent gallery, etc.
I've just started buying the Aust. Artist, and also checked out a lot of websites! All good stuff!
Cheers,
Jill

Oops - sorry I was slow to reply, JJ - it is a great - esp. with us only having a 'lifestyle/self-sufficiency' block & not having to do the big gambling that real farmers have to do these days!
Cheers,
Jill

Artwork and Show of
Hi there
Amazing talent - do you belong to the Pastel Society of Australia
http://www.ozpastel.com/ - lots of information on here and I think some of the Artists Magazines like Artists Palette or Australian Artist Magazine could be interested in looking at what she has done.

Hey - I missed these two somehow - sorry, Marilyn &
Sam.
Marilyn - I've been on the pastel society's website for my own work (haven't joined yet) - but didn't know if they would also take children's work? I've also started buying those two magazines. Thanks so much for that! I'll look into it some more.
Thanks Sam - she wasn't able to enter in the Perth one (needed to live in that area)
Here is some more work of Chantelle's:

And so that there's no confusion I'll post these separately - the following portraits (one still in progress) are done by Shakira, our 8 y.o.
The Blue Wren was done by our 5 y.o. son.
Thanks for your interest!
