Red face CN Tower in Toronto, canada

Here is a picture of the CN Tower, Toronto, the worlds tallest building at 553 meteres. As you will notice they used parallel struts under the main carousel - uncommon in structures built in the 70's.

Always blows me away how those top-heavy structures don't fall over. Must be more bouyant than they look.

They're shaped so that they create a low pressure area underneath. A bit like the wings on an aeroplane. It actually helps to hold them up. Needs a fair bit of bracing though. Some bouncing is inevitable.

    It's a fake photo.

The world's tallest building is actually the 101 tower in KL.

    Cheers,

Umm, would that be the 101 tower in Taipei you're talking about? Maybe you have it mixed up with the Petronas Twin Towers for some reason, Midge?

    Now that is odd.

I was up in the Toronto tower last year looking down through the glass floor. Darn me if the view isn't better from the ground!

Bugger! The Prop-jet lag is still with me.

Imagine what's been in the letters I've written at work the last few days, and I've got a rather large payment to process today too!

Oh well, what's a few zeros and a couple of thousand miles between friends?

    Cheers,

    P

    Mr Kojo,

Please have patience, I am disappointed that you seem to have forwarded copies of our confidential correspondance to other parties, but still believe your intentions are honest,

I am sure I can arrange payment later in the day.
