Ideas for RR
Hi Wendy I made these a few years ago as you can see one glass case is well worn the other is still not finished nor is the key case. They are deer hide very fine raw leather.
The glass case clips are from old plastic ones cut off and glued, a hole for a key ring to hang it off a neck clip and velcro to keep it closed (easier for me to open).
Other wise you could use a press stud or lengthen the tounge and make a piece to go across and slip the tounge through it. The edging is one piece and had to be used as the leather is so soft and fine it wold tear if not used.
If you make any leave enough slack to fit in the glasses on one side make sure the leather isn't to oily if it is line it with silk of nylon or felt. Nothing worse then looking through glasses like looking into a fog.
The key ring case was a memory piece they metal is out of my dads old leather one.
I made about a dozen of the glass cases and gave them away as Christmas gifts.

ps LOML did the sewing although I started it

thanks Stirlo. The cover for your Mum is nearly finished. I will post you a pic when it's done.
thanks Wheelin'.
The glasses case is a great idea, especially lining it and including parts from old cases. Hmm, this would also work for mobile phone cases too.. hmmmm....
thanks
Cheers

Mobile phone cases are APIA Wendy need elastic for sides and clear plastic to see unless you leave it open I have tried 2 or 3 different phones all not successful maybe MP3 players but same problem need access to buttons etc
Wendy Truckies/Coachies LOVE LOG book covers especially if you can produce a pic of truck on the front you'll need a Log book to sample off.

Mobile phone covers - I take the easy path and go for the fully enclosed version that you have to open and take the phone out to use it. I made a cover for my own mp3 player and found that yes, it was a pain to have to pull it out to use the buttons but it does give me all the more reason to ensure I have on it only the music I really like.

I received a notbook cover today and it looks and smells wonderful. I will put it to good use as I use A5 notebooks all the time. Thanks Wendy.
