There are some awesome sights throughout our wide brown land. That one is worth blowing up if you got it at a good resolution.

I have digital pics all taken at 5mp plus a 2 rolls of film as well. This was just 1 to show desert areas can be scenic places too.
It was overcast so the colours are more subdued than normal but the area took my breathe away.

    Where is it?

There are formations like that out near Longreach & Winton in central western Qld.

If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

The Painted Dsert - isn't that where Mad Max was filmed? Spectacular pic; it's well-named with colours like that.

Its a smallish area between Cadney Park and Oodnadatta. There is a bit of mad max stuff in Coober Pedy to look at on the way through to Cadney Park
The Qld area isnt quite as colourful but give it a couple hundred years or so and who knows.
    Heres another to check out

True Harry but unfortunatly the whole area thru to here was overcast so we made do with what we had .
We are planning another trip up in a couple months when its not so hot or so many flies. The flys are bad when you see long tem miners in Coober wearing fly nets.
