    Default A recent purchase...

The culmination of five months work, handed over on Monday. It is a modified King Air 350 (Proline 21 for the buffs). Modified by Hawker Pacific at Bankstown.

We meant hand planes can be expensive

Looks like a very neat unit. Do you fly it yourself? What type of work is it used for?

The aircraft was delivered to the Army. It will be used for operational support in a number of roles. The cost is around AU$10m if you buy one, though these are leased.

I don't fly them, I was involved on the project side.
