The Twelve Days of Christmas don't begin until December 25th. When I were a lad, there was none of this Christmas nonsense in October, November and early December. Christmas cards from far off places arrived by post a day or two before Christmas and local ones were hand-delivered on Christmas Eve. The tree and decorations went up on Christmas Eve too and were taken down on January 6th.
.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.
Regards, Woodwould.

When I were a lad in Lancashire long, long time ago older people were forever saying, when I were a lad. I vowed that when I got older I would never say when I were a lad. But sometimes you just have to.<O</O
