Unlike us northerners who follow a real mans code (Rugby League). no violence at our game! Of course we wont mention the bulldogs supporters

Didn't know that the Port Supporters had to be cordoned off. I think you must be talking about the cheap seats they have specially for Port fans.

There is one team and they are the Crows

AFL. Why did it have to happen!!!!! Bad as Soccer

Yes, AFL is just as bad as soccer. I am glad you have realised they both suck and can now move on to a better sport.

I have seen a few games of your "sport" on tele and all I see in the crowds are 40 year old women and skinny weedy little guys. Neither of which would put up much of a fight or ever have played footy

    gee,

I didn't reliase that Crows supporters would lower their noses long enough to be on this bulletin board. The only reason they would cordon off Port supporters off, would be because you, like your team are scared of the mighty POWER! I think we should have a " give a crows supporter a RED day ". This should be everyday and twice Sundays.

    GO THE POWER!

    Uhh no.

If it was 100 milliwatts, then yeah, you need that many volts to get there. But you could be nailed by a battery in the right (or wrong) scenario. Sweaty skin, wet, good contract to earth, body chemistry, etc, etc. No two people are the same, and electricity affects people differently, regardless of how much current.

I've been zapped a few times now, and it doesn't affect me very much. Worst was palm to palm, and I got 2 small blisters. Otherwise, nothing special. Grandpa, he falls down with any kind of zappage.

Depends on the person, and the conditions the zap occurs in. Basically, anything through the head and yer toast. Across the chest with a weak heart, basically anything will do it. DC is worse than AC.

Oh yeah, 1500v DC for trains, 600V DC for trams. Both will make you into a crispy critter quick smart.

Ahh but pierce the skin and check the resistance then....................

There can be situation when the resistance of the skin is lessened. Sweat will improve conductivity. But V still equals IR.
600V between the wires in a circuit with low resistance, hence the high current. And, power = voltage * current if I recall correctly, and as you'd need kilowatts to run a tram, the current would need to be a bit higher than 100 milliamps

The you could be done in with a 9v battery. The insides are very conductive.

I work with RADARs and Combat Systems on the ANZAC Frigates. Does not take much of a mistake and it's all over shock wise. Had a Kiwi working on a 10,000V system alone, he is very lucky to still be wearing velcro gloves.

Treat all power as if it will kill you. Sometimes it's not the shock but the injury caused by being thrown by it. Can be as dangerous as being caught between a Crows supportor and a Power supporter on the weekend, nasty........................

Obviously you are foreign, you can't truly be a South Australian and not follow the football. Someone from Port Pirie not wanting to stick it up those eastern suburb, chardonnay swilling, sookey crows supporters.....bring back David Granger is what i say!! he would keep em all in line!!!!

Shaun - "you can't truly be a South Australian and not follow the football" - I though you SA mob just followed the footy cause you are all just trying to follow the Victorians. Sort of a "dont really understand it but if the Vics do it it must be good" thing.

Jack E - As for Rugby - One word - POKE

Schtoo - Your Granddad fall over when he gets a zap - What else do you do for laughs at XMas?? Nasty.

Will this stir up the hornets nest??

I learnt long ago that "Family, Footy, Religion and Politics" comments were usually 100% certain to start a blue.
