    Default Possible FRAUD on ebay

The other day I saw a bobcat mini backhoe listed for $346 as a starting price but you needed to get pre-approved to bid. OK so I thought nothing to lose. So I asked for pre-approval.

Next I received the following email.

I have received your email regarding my 2002 BOBCAT B200 TRACTOR LOADER BACKHOE 4WD.
My bobcat is in perfect condition, with no scraches on it, no damage. The price for the machine with shipping included is 5500 AUD.
I will send you all the paperwork with the tractor at once. The shipping will take almost a week depending of your location.
I deal only through safe eBay escrow services. I will wait for your email to let me know if you are interested in knowing more details about the purchase.
Please email me as soon as possible.

Then I asked him it if it was a buy it now price or auction and got this reply.

    It's a buy it price.

I want to finish this deal through eBay International Trading. They will hold your payment and release it to me only after you will receive, inspect and agree with the bobcat. I will give you 3 inspection days.

I will start the shipping in the same day with the payment confirmation.

The delivery process to your location will take 5-6 days.

Tell me if we can get the ball rolling and I will contact eBay regarding our transaction. after that they will send you the information of the purchasing.

    Thanks!

The bobcat has got to be worth $20K plus any day of the week. Then I saw this listing.

Same thing. Another backhoe for $4500. My ride on mower was more than this. It should not surprise me, but I could have easily become a victim.

If there is any way that you can check the ID numbers on the tractor first I would. Those prices are way too low. Either that guy is dodgy or he is an absolute idiot!!
Have a nice day - Cheers

Problem is Rowan that the numbers are most likely legitimate. But most probably owned by someone else who previously listed it for sale or how is unaware that it is listed for sale.

Its has to be a scam. A bobcat backhoe for $5500 and a Kubota backhoe for $4500. The hydraulic pump alone is probably worth more than that.

    Standard scam.

Note the seller is in Hong kong not Oz.
The seller in the past has dealt with clothing.
The B21 is in a dealers yard.
It should sell for near $25k

You see lots of these scams that require bidder pre-registration.
    You will loose your money.
