We're still waiting for an answer on this one. The day after I first posted this, I told her to go get another filter. She went to the local Telstra shop and was told she could buy a filter for $29. She said there was supposed to be another one in the kit because she'd told them how many phones she had. '"Oh, Telstra broadband will send one out free, but you'll have to deal with them. It'll only take a couple of days."

Yep, Telstra and service - a contradiction in terms.

Anyway, nearly a week later and the extra filter still hasn't turned up. I commented on this. She waited until her son was out of earshot and then admitted that she hasn't rung up about it yet

She's a lovely person but practical?
