Thread: Where to buy Mallee Root firewood Melbourne

I wood have thought maybe Mildura - Swan Hill area, but surely there must be a wood yard in Melb. that may have them.

The closer you can drive to the mallee the cheaper they will be. Grew up in swan hill prior to moving to Melb. The local footy clubs used to do a good trade in mallee roots as fund raisers. Not many places sell mallee roots as they are hard to source, which is why the footy clubs would be a good place to start. Woorinen FC Lake Boga FC Tyntynder FC to name a few.
In my time I have seen $$$$ pushed into a pile and burned, farmers couldn't get anything for them so they had to get rid of them. My best one was a D9 pushed up a pile as big as a house burned for what seemed like a fortnight.

I got some mallee root from these guys quite a few years ago. The supplies of mallee root were getting scarce then, so I don't like your chances.
