    Default Calling chocolate bar lovers...

Some friends and I were talking about chocolate bars for some reason, and listing a few good ones that are no longer made.

One I mentioned, and nobody could remember its name has me utterly stumped though. It comes in a packet, and is two fingers, similiar in size to the "Twix" bars.

I think the fingers had some form of wafers inside (not sure about this), but they definately had chocolate coated malt balls along the top (Malteser type things I guess).

    WHAT WAS IT???????????

This has me well and truly stumped, Google isn't helong me, and am going mad!!!

    HELP!!!!!!!

    Nathan.

    GOT IT!!!!!!!!

The mystery chocolate is TAKE 5! I see Hershey's have a bar with the same name now, but a totally different snack - 'a sweet salty taste' says their website..... no thanks! (And trust Americans to come up with a chocolate bar that contains pretzels!).

Anyway, that's one big mental block that is now gone. Came to me while pottering in the shed.

    Thanks Rotten & Ray.

    Nathan.

Are you sure it wasn't "Time Out"?

This one kept coming into my head. I think they were pretty similiar, but a Time Out is missing the golden ingredient, the lumps of maltesers along the top.

Yumm .. I was never keen on Time Out, but with maltesers on top, it sounds great!

    Default American chocolate

    Nathan,

If you really want to try something unusual, get a hold of a "Reeses peanut butter cup". A bit like a wagon wheel, well nothing like it actually except for the shape/size. Basically a chocolate case full of peanut butter.
Hmmmmm interesting and for me not in a nice way!!

Speaking of the Wagon Wheel have you noticed how much smaller they have become over the years

    Cherry Ripe

    and

A Mars [a day helps you work, rest and play]

Unfortunately, as the prices have gone up the sizes have shrunk even the full sized bars are now just about "bite sized".
