Default Changing colour of existing grout

We’ve recently had some tiles laid. Red tiles with grey grout - looks terrible.

Has anyone successfully changed the colour of their grout ?

I know there are various grout pens available on the market. Wanting to hear if they are worth the trouble - or any other solution?
    Apologies for unnoticed autocomplete errors.

In my experience there is only one long term successful method remove the old grout and re grout.

If you just wait it will slowly turn black.

Agree removing & re grouting is best solution. You may be able to lighten the colour using bleach or similar.

When we had our bathroom renovated, the tiler sat some tiles across a plank and put a few different colour grouts between them. Asked us to pick grout colour from samples.
