how to check Victa lawn mower coil
I have a Victa 2-stroke (PACE) mower that works strangely. It sometimes starts easily with the first pull but sometimes it never starts.
I have taken out the plug and test for sparks. For example, last Saturday I found very healthy sparks all the time when I tested it on that evening. I left it over night and was about to start mowing my lawn the next day. Then before I was about to insert back the plug I tested it for sparks again but find no more sparks.
Because of this, I doubt it has a faulty induction coil.
I want to reach the electrical wirings and test/clean the connections from the induction coil to other parts of the machine using a multimeter. Is that involving a lot of tools and disassembly tasks? I have never disassembled a lawn mower before.
Any given help will be great and thank you in advance for any advice.
Also can someone tell me whether there should be one or two magnets attached to the edge of the flywheel with this kind of mower? I found only one of it being attached with a magnet.
