    Default Christmas Lunch

Giving the traditional fare away this year and just going to have a lump of salmon coated in breadcrumbs and parmesan, pan fried in olive oil and butter, served with herbed smashed (not a typo) potatoes (Australian native herbs) and something green.
Couple of glasses of Chardonnay and maybe a Boags Premium.
    Just want an easy day.
    Whats yours?????

The cook is doing roast pork with roast veggies.
    Hmmmm
And the tipple will be port, hic.

The best part, even today, is to just do what ever we want, no time limits, schedules.

Just taken the duck and Turkey out of the Webber. Tomorrow in goes the pickled pork, and hickory smoke, while being glazed with marmalade. It's sensational.

Nice quiet one, just my beloved and I and a heap of food, we'll go to the beach then hang round at the Home of the Biting Midge.

    OH....

    and our three girls,

    and two husbands,

    their dog,

    our pet Canadians

    a neighbour

an ex-boyfriend (we're still good mates)

a couple of couples with nowhere else to go

    a bloke we met somewhere

    his dog

then after dinner, ten more neighbours, their dogs, and the annual Home of the Biting Midge, Day/Night Croquet Match.

My dearest, and my personal shopper (daughter #1) have been cooking for two days, silly buggers.... but all of the above love them to bits. (Me specially).

P (I went for a really long hard ride on my bike today to make sure there was room)

Have a great day one and all!!!

    Smile Christmas . . .

Off to MBGitW's best friend for breakie before patrol on the beach (the entire club does a couple of hours each), then I am head BBQ chef. On the menu is Salmon Cutlets, Scotch fillet, Rissolls, Salads and a Birthday cake for the bloke the entire day is about. MBGitw's kids are attending and my helpers (dogs) will clean up any meat left over. A couple of beers, then relax . . .

Everyone have a good safe day
