    Hi Tony,

I think the ABC uses WEBP images.
There are a number of programs that can open these including Paint.

If using paint doesn't work for you, let us know what you normally use to open & crop images.

    Regards, Jeff

you are Trying to help a not savvy person here so bear with me.

I can copy photos from this website, others, FB I click on save this image and the computer imports/exports it to Pictures, where I can do anything I want through paint....
but trying to copy photos from some ABC (only it appears) they all go google, if I try and send them to paint it says something about not bitmap. WEBP images.seems is the culprit.

Interesting I have tried several photos on ABC news most were OK ABC local not so. WEBP

    Hi Tony,

you say "but trying to copy photos from some ABC (only it appears) they all go google" - can you explain this a little more - I am not sure what you mean by "they all go google". If you are able to get a screenshot of this that would be very helpful. If not, no worries.

    Regards, Jeff
