I have noticed that bullies cry the loudest when given a taste of their own medicine.

Send tissues to Brisbane and Canberra.

One can only hope your predictions come true Bob so we can return to operating honestly, above board and providing the services of our charter.

It seems there is more concern about the share price of Telstra and who breached Stockmarket trading rules than there is concern about a deteriorating network especially in the bush.

With decent management policies the problems will recede.
I'm glad to see that Sol seems aimed at a proper structure of things like their "plans" which tend to bamboozle and maybe even hoodwink their customers.

Its kinda fun to watch the bullies scurry around like headless chooks.

So why do we use the term "Whistleblower" anyway, and treat honest people as some sort of guilty party.

Why are we as a culture, so ready to punish "Dobbers" while the bad guys consistently gather support?

Why is it that even when the bad guys (or bullies) are found guilty, more often than not the "Whistleblower" pays a far higher price?

Time to find a new term which more accurately reflects the courage that these people exhibit!

Or we could just shoot to kill.

They certainly do.

Well it seems the QLD health inquiry will go ahead again after all. It would be a tragedy if those administrators from QLD Health were to get away with the way they have run the system. But I believe that the politicians are ultimately to blame for under-funding health, so that they could spend the money on buying votes by building football stadiums. So the bureaucrats were put in the position of being forced to cut corners or lose their job.

It's going to be a very difficult inquiry to get any result from. Many people including doctors, nurses and administrators kept quiet while a criminally incompetent collegue was endangering patients. Some nurses even went as far as convincing patients to go to another hospital to avoid getting treated by that doctor.
There has always been a code of silence in the medical brotherhood and I wouldn't be the only person to have experienced it personally.
It's about time the medical profession got it's house in order.
I was in a discussion with a theatre nurse about some of the horror stories I had both, heard of and experienced and she came to their defence by telling me that she knew doctors who worked 24 hours without a break in some hospitals. I pointed out to her that if a truck driver did that on a regular basis, and was caught, he may as well sell his truck because he would lose his licence. I also pointed out that negligent truck drivers kill far fewer people than incompetent or tired doctors.

Here's how it works in real life.

Step 1: Deny everything
Step 2: Deny everything
Step 3: Deny everything and check media response
Step 4: Wait a week and then keep denying everything
Step 5: Wait and month and keep denying it all.
Step 6 (now two months later and no longer a media story): Problem solved

Anyone could walk into the top job at Telstra and make a difference. I mean how stupid was it to hire a guy (Ziggy) in the first place with a record of business failuers in the past to run Australias biggest telco?

I love to watch little jonhy sqwirm, what sol the seppo said, was exactly what every indipendant assesment of Telstras shares has said for the last 12 Months. The dividends are the only thing kepping the price up and they are unsustainable at the current levels.
