    Default Easy to see how one can get caught....

    I could never understand how people got caught in flooded creeks until I saw this video clip from NSW earlier this year.

    You really don't get much time if you are foolish enough to stop / camp in a dry creek bed while a storm is raging upstream.

    As the guy says..."you don't see that every day".

    Wow. I've only seen one other example like that in my whole working life (Traralgon Ck 1978 for those interested). Think I'll bookmark that for my hydrography students - great example of a hydraulic jump.
