Default England v Trinadad & Tobago

Was watching this game the other night here in London and Trinadad were holding out against England and almost scored just before half time which prompted one of the English commentators to remark that England had only ever been beaten by one Commonwealth country, Australia.
They went very quiet for a bit and said that they were still hurting from that one.
Brought a lot of laughter to our lounge, even though we are Kiwis.
Soccer must be the only game that they are good at in the Commonwealth as everyone has beaten them at everything else.
Hope you Aussies run up a cricket score in the rugby tomorrow.

Should be a walk in the park. Melbourne is amazing when it comes to sport. We predominantly love Aussie rules but we just had a soccer match and it was sold out, and the Wallabies match is sold out and the third League State of Origin is also sold out. Gotta love this town

Well you've got to do something, no point staying home and watching TV, there's football on every channel!

England played 2 very ordinary games and was lucky to have won both games. They have to do a lot better than that in stage 2.

Watched Argentina played last night. Boy, they are sharp and I didn’t like it.

    My pennyworth.

Greece won the European cup two years ago, that in my opinion is like one of your village teams winning your Australian cup final.

This Greek win came about because over the proceeding 4 weeks the referees and linemen ganged up and ensured that two of the lesser fancied teams got to the final.

So this year I notice that the less favoured teams get away with some awful fouls and shirt pulling etc. whereas a yellow card is almost immediate on some others.

Perhaps I am getting old and /.;'...,.

So with 4 yellows in the first game, someone up there must be really scared of Australia!
