Default do you have a second for the enviroment?

was walking threw the shops today when i was aproched by a girl that asked "do you have a second for the enviroment".

i thaught why not im in no hurry.

after listening to there great speal on how our forests are being cleared to make way fror housing and farmland and they will never grow back. i decided i would have some fun. i started by telling them i liked driving my fathers bulldozer almost as mutch as cutting trees down (and up). i explained that it is nearly a full time job keeping teh saplings down here on teh farm,

i asked them to take a drive out to ritchlands where a new road was jsut put in less than 3 months ago. all the batters of the cuts and fills are compleatly coverd in regrowth none of it was planted there. after half an hour of umm.. "debating" with them i decded that i had had my fun and it was time for lunch.

i hate when they waste my time so i thaught id waste some of theres.

Nice way to kill some time!
Although i do think we should think responsibly about our future, and not just go hacking down trees both here and abroad without considering the impact. I know i would certainly like to have my kids and grandkids (no, none yet!) play with some real wood, not some manmade rubbish- its taken us thousands of years to create MDF, just imagine the trash we will have in the future!

    Hahahahah ... good on ya

My favourite is to wind up the Indian call centre pests. Some of my tactics:

    * Thank God you called! I was just about to commit suicide.
    * Have you accepted Jesus into your life?
    * Woof! Woof! Woof woof woowoowoowooooooo!
    * Omigod!! You mean I really WON??? I've never won anything in my life ...

I'm always looking for new ideas

    In my best "accent"

"I have been telling you, please not to be calling me here......one night of madness was to much for me......and it is all I have been thinking about since I have not been seeing you....is it?"........at this stage they usually hang up.

I don't have to. When I get those calls I switch over to Dutch and reply in that language. After a few sentences they hang up.

    Thumbs up

Don't like timewasters either. I must say, however that I have watched the development f the site at the intersection of Johson Rd. and Beaudesert Rd. at Browns Plains with some interest.
Like all developments today there is a compulsion to "landscape". This is very gratifying in terms of leafiness and aesthetics but I wonder what the balance is between trees remove d and trees planted?
