Happy Father's Day (you too Gumby)

So what did you all get?

I got an SMS from my Daughter who just got a flat near Wimbledon.

    Hmm, lemme see:

I got attacked by the bandsaw (ref other post)
    Had to mow the lawn
Had to rearrange the deck and vacuum the dog hair out from under it
Watched The Cave with squealing girls
Got a hug from my little girl

Yup, a good day - ended on a high note! (no tools, though I was given the Blues Brothers DVD)

    absolutely nothing. (true)

We never worry about it. It's a wank.

My 4 year old daughter, the little sweetheart, drew up a picture of a handsaw,,,,,coloured it in,,,,,cut it out and wrote on it

' Your the best dad I ever SAW' . I stuck it up on the wall.

My 8 year old said ....'happy fathers day dad,,,can I have 5 bucks'

My wife was kind to me .....she cooked me lamb chops for tea, which I demolished..... tryed to milk this fathers day thing for all its worth, but she was tired.....so I'm on the computer again.

Had a great day, Daughter rang and sang Happy Fathers day to me, later she rang back so my grandsons could say "Happy fathers day". Was good...

    THEN.....

My sons didn't bother at all and when I dropped the dog back to my wifes I found her screwing the town weirdo in the shed..... I had a wonderful bluddy day!

    I had a great father's day.

Morning - the kids at their mother's place with my gf by my side

Lunch with MY Dad. Took him shopping for his pressy and he bought a bag of fertilizer and some bug killer (makes a change from the bag of screws he usually wants)

Arvo - collected my lad from his mother and came home to watch history shows on tele and then Terminator 3.

The little miss? I get her tomorrow arvo

my better half gave me $20 and i got to cook bacon and eggs for my self and daughter (the wife can only handle coffee in the morning) and the afternoon was spent watching my nephew win the u16 grand final in soccer against kahiba
then called in for dogwatch at work for overtime 3rd one this fortnight

    Hi,

The Fur family, (3 cats) meowed "Happy Father's Day" in unison.

I made a Jarrah Coffee table.

    Napped in the Afternoon.

Had Meatloaf (not the singer) for tea.

    Asleep at 8:30PM

Rather boring considering everyone else's day!

    Regards,

    Rob

And bar-humbug to commercial Christmas too - but having said that i am not going to miss a golden opportunity to enhance my present collection with nothing - lucky dad got a pair of socks from SWMBO and a pair of socks from daughter and a pair of socks from bub.

Then out of the blue came a group present bought from them all - two rosewood timber markers and a triton superjaws with log grip attachments. WOW

And yes I did buy the last few items to give the tribe to give to me , but in the true spirit of fathersday I did leave the timber markers in the airfreight bag from timbecon till they were unwrapped on fathersday and I did do my best to forget i got the superjaws in the study (hidden ) till the majic day.

We had a lovely day out picnic - kick ball - bushwalk etc. I like fathers day.

    Phoned dad etc etc.
    Cheers

My HWMBO had a lovely day with his elder daughter, an impromptu dinner with friends and a few drinks together.

My Dad loved his ottoman but was absolutely stoked with the 4 empty plastic milk bottles I'd saved for him (he uses them for a small watering system for his favourite plants)

Dad-IL would have worn one of his two new leather belts but the belts are still a little toooo big for him . All in all a great day.

    Cheers

Guess I qualify these days - the furrys (2 dogs 2 cats) got me some DVDs, and the little-one-in-waiting got me a toy train so I'd be able to test some wood train track

The 2 1/2 of us then headed to Sandown to watch the V8s. Pity it didn't rain - nothing like the sight of twisted metal
