Get some small twine and make yourself the knots for a knot board, and then you'll be not bored

Use it as a learning experience. Practise for a cantankerous old age by being obnoxious to everyone.

Try and think of a non physical skill you are lacking and brush up on it whilst you are laid up.

An example might be a branch of maths you could use in your shed.

Just a thought.

It's all pretty annoying. I was off sick all last week with a chest infection, and only had the stamina to go to the shed and finish a single pen. How unfair is it to actually be sick during sick leave??? I would have got a ton more done if I was OK...

I did a lot of sleeping and mooching about. still, it seems like a waste of a week, so I don't know how you're coping! Mind you I'm only back at work 'cos I ran out of sick leave

Well I fit the bill, only in the wrong places ;-}

If you haven't already, get to know Sketchup. Its free, from Google. Not too much of a learning curve before you get a useable result.

Then you can while away a few hours doing detailed design for new projects, get to see how they look, play around with dimensions etc.

Ern, when I was recovering from my radiation treatment I used to do jigsaw puzzles. Got them for a few dollars each from the op shop. Kept me from getting bored.

Research anything that takes your fancy.
Visit dying people and listen to their life stories. Write another book.
Do anything for someone else.
