Default A fine portrait of Bitingmidge on the front page of the Courier Mail

Bitingmidge and his rellies, after spending many years amid the mangroves of the Sunshine Coast, has moved to the big smoke. If his portrait were in oils, it would have a good shot of winning the Archibald prize; he is definitely better looking that that scrawny fellow with the hairy chest who entered his self-portrait.

Unfortunately that link doesn't include Midge's portrait. Here it is.

While the pests are not known to spread diseases, their bites can be painful and leave nasty welts on some of their victims.

I live 2000 kilometres away and Midge has managed to leave me scared.

    Well spotted Rocker!

I'm not sure that there isn't more than a passing resemblance, certainly has similar hairs on his legs!

On the other hand, the little buggers are making their presence felt well and truly at the moment at the Home of the Biting Midge. By golly I've got the welts to prove it, and midge time makes me grumpy, so watch for some even more cantankarous (sp?) posts than usual!

    Cheers,

    P
