Scew, I've lived in Croydon for 25 years or so. If that little feral left about 15 years ago, and was a grey tabby, I'm pleased to report that he landed at our place, and still enjoys a life of comparative luxury. Two morning feeds and three evening feeds on average, plus a set out back that attract most passing golfers. Gets on well with the indoor cats etc. and possum as well. Still lucky to be granted permission to pat his skull when placing a meal in front of him though.

We planned his vet visit very carefully, enough tranqulisers to drop a shephard the vet said, mixed into his food and taken, welding gloves, crush cage, the works.

Hungry varmint ate his breaky and dope, then settle for the morning sunbake. Wanted to do a runner 30 min later when we armed up to collect him, but couldn't stand or co-ordinate 4 paws because of he dope.
When I managed to grab him, he turned into a veritable Spitfire, screaming, hissing, kicking and scratching for all he was worth. Never got his tail into that cage, let alone the rest of him. Finally broke free and fled into the woodheap down the back, didn't come back till he was starving 3 days later.

Still doesn't trust me much 12 years later, but regular feeds are great medicine
