    Default Latest headlines "New World Order" No thank you!!!!!

    This is a link to the Sydney Morning Herald and the story on the New World Order. This New World Order thing has been hinted at and being slowly pushed forward all through the US election and picking up pace with the global economical situation. We should not be conned into this and should fight it tooth and nail before it gets any stronger. Email your local member, the PM (you can only send him a letter these days) and anyone else you can think of who can throw some weight behind it!!

    Late last night there was one of those Louis Theroux mockumentaries on exactly this subject ... so-called survivalists, patriots and the New World Order.

    I think Brown used an unfortunate choice of words. "New World Order" is generally used to indicate a world run by a cabal of world bankers, where we are all enslaved to Jews and blacks. That is nut-job territory.

    An alternative financial system - which is what I think he really meant - might be a good thing. The only red flag I see is that it might involve governance by the EU, and that would mean disaster.

    If I were Emperor Of The World I'd make three simple changes to the financial system:

    * No derivatives
    * No selling of securities within 90 days of purchase
    * No floating exchange rates

    Sounds a bit "60s", I know, but it would bring certainty and stability, eliminating most of the rip-offs from the market.
    ... as long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation. (A.Hitler)

    I love conspiracy theories,

    Brown has as much hope of getting any kind of global agreement as any other world leader. 9/10th of FA IMO.

    If I were to call for a new world order it would be an icy cold Coopers Sparkling Ale

    Reasons? I don't fancey being governed by some banker from The Hague. And I don't trust these Labour loonies not to get us into some international disaster. It's not just Brown using this unfortunate term either. Could just be the thin edge of the wedge.

    On a hot day it can't be too cold. If it's mild then just wait and it'll reach perfect temperature. You'll have to sample regularly to check it's progress, and while your waiting you'll have to drink something else...

    The solution is to not drink ales when it hot, lagers lagers lagers, but the rest sounds like a well conceived and, if properly executed, masterful plan.
