Fusion (magic word in your insurance claim, if you're covered for it), insurance talk for a burnt out motor (the compressor in your heat pump could cost $1000 round figures, plus, installation and cleaning out the acid I spoke of ) but you may also be able to get cover for mecheanical devices etc (heat pump hot water system) find a good insurance broker if you don't have one, they will save you a fortune with the correct and cheapest policies for your needs. Just did a quick tall up, to repace a compressor, clean out the acid, recharge with refigerant, intall filter driers and labour, service calls etc you wouldn't get much change from $2500.00. Food for thought.
