You've tackled my problem completely....the pictures and all. Feel spoilt I do. Thankyou very much.

I reakon you've done a very professional job on yours. With that small board, and heat shrink..... I wouldn't have done all that. If I had to work out on my own how to fit in a strange capacitor I probably would have just done some ruff soldering job....

But I'll definetly do as you've done.

so, must use

- 'metalised polypropylene' 240v......
- solder legs to the wires as well.

Do these particular capacitors have polarity (is that the word?) ....I mean , must they go in a particular direction ?.... if yes, I may have trouble working that out.....
