    Default Industrial Relations Lawyers

Anyone know of an I/R lawyer that would take a case on a no win no fee basis - ideally Qld based but I could go to NSW if I'm desperate.
    Cheers
    Paul

Just be aware of the costs involved with losing. Costs are awarded against plaintiffs not their legal representatives.

Sorry can't help with a name. Only two I know work for unions.

If I decided to take this to court I am certain I would be looking at a high 5 figure to low 6 figure settlement.
As for unions, mine was about as useful as a paper fire poker.

I'm sure a Google search will find some names for you. Legal services are like any other - some punters will have good experiences and others bad - so any names we give you will be biased according to our own circumstances. You should talk to at least two firms and if their opinions differ as to likely outcome then maybe seek a third.

The costs of losing = what the courts deem you have to pay to the other party (like THEIR legal fees) if you lose.
Any reputable firm should give you this information but ask if not.

I won't get into a debate on the value or otherwise of unions, other than to say - think over any advice they gave you at the time of complaint or circumstance arose and whether they thought it was actionable/winnable. They are I/R experts and most if not all employ one or two legal eagles.

Not trying to teach you how to suck eggs, just helping to keep your ride gentle during what can be a bumpy journey.
