    Default IS IT JUST ME?

I have been trying since Friday to open McJing's site but to no availe. I'm using Chrome but I keep getting a "reload" notice. Any ideas? Are they down?
    Just do it!

Works for me, XP and FF

How are you getting to the site, from a bookmark?

If so, try putting McJing in to Google and then click on the link that comes up.

I went through Google .....wouldn't connect. Did that many times yesterday and again this morning, put up this post then went to IE.....slow to load but went straight to McJing's site and catalogue, looked up what I wanted to know then went out of it.
My computer guru daughter says "it does that" meaning Chrome does it. Why? She couldn't tell me.
    Just do it!

I call them "confusers" for good reason
They are great when everything works well, but a bugger when they do their own thing.

I guess you actually tried a reload ? (Have to ask)

or Crtl F5 (should) will bypass the local cache.

or Clearing/deleting chrome’s cache might resolve things. Computers and software need preventative maintenance too. Think of it as sweeping the floor.

If IE can connect, that would suggest Chrome is the culprit. Google offer several possible things that might resolve repeated Reload messages.

Clearing cache is one of the age-old first steps.

It is usually just because all of the browsers work slightly differently, even though they all try to be universal for all web sites. If the site owners make a small change and only normally use IE, and they forget to test Chrome, it can make the difference between the site working on IE and not working on another browser. It really doesn't take much. In the corporate IT world this happens all the time, where they spend millions on testing and planning. So for smaller operators it is even easier to miss...

Thanks for the explanation, Bob, I like to patronise our supporters and McJings are are very handy due to the variety of stuff they sell. As I said earlier I did load IE and went straight in with no trouble. If when I make up an order I may have to use IE then.
    Just do it!

As soon as our computer has difficulties or goes slow I do a disc clean up (I should probably do that on a more regular basis) and a defrag. It normally helps noticeably, but not always.

Paul, defragging and crap cleaning is done regularly by my daughter. She has the uncanny nack of doing it when I want to use the computer. I come in from outside only to see a sticky note on the screen telling me I am "off the air". Protesting is to no avail. My wife has taught her well, to be a......female
