    HELP WITH CONCRETE SLAB
G'day! I would like to lay a concerete slab approximately 4m x 4m against 2 brick walls of my house. Should I:
    1. Key the slap into the brickwork with reinforcing bars to prevent any movement of the slab
2 Butt slab up to the brick walls or
3.Use a tar expansion pad between the two brick walls and the slab.

Also, how thick should the concrete slab be?

This slab will be the front verandah of my home, which I will then tile with ceramic tiles.
