    Default LED string? lighting

Posted similar to this on the 'electronic' page but hopefully more respnse

Iam after some coloured led strip lighting that can lay flat on a board and yet take some decent bends. Making a 800mm dia Star Wars death star for my grandkids as per this guys design https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snV3E5KdXPw&feature=youtu.be then 7:21sec

I tried dome from Bunnings and while good it could not get it to bend flat. any info please
I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

The link you provided is to a video about a TIG welder.

I suspect you are going to find that with any brand of that style of light strip. You can see in the video at 7:20 that he had the same problem. It buckles at bends. You can also see he has turned it back on itself to form a 90 degree bend.

I don't think any will bend flat... you MIGHT be able to put some slight cuts in it (not through the actual conductive stuff) to alleviate it. but as mentioned you can see the sheer number of "lifts" he has at all the bends.

if you want it perfectly flat you're going to have to cut, solder in some joining wire and keep going.

my only OTHER suggestion would be to attach ply the same thickness as the cleat around the perimeter of the death star and attach the LED to that... so they'd be shining perpendicular to the wall rather then on it
