    Default Lisp

Gingerchick has a lisp and tends to bite on her tongue when pronouncing esses and th's. She had speech therapy when she was young but has lapsed a little and is looking to do something. (we have three kids so we're broke)
So I thought I'd prod at the cerebral monster that is the Nothing at all to do with woodworking to see if anyone can offer some advice on exercises etc.
    Thanks in advance.

    G'day Mick,
I know my suggestion is a bit off-putting, but PK chewing gum worked on all the grandkids.

No, only if they dropped it anywhere
The gum seemed to stop the tongue biting stuff FWIW

There are singers who sing beautifully but when they talk they either lisp or stutter. So get her to serenade you instead of talking to you.

With some people I have known it was worst in stressful/anxious situations. If that is the case she can learn relaxation/breathing techniques to lower the stress levels.

The other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".
