Lost files problem
I inadvertently deleted a folder.
I downloaded recover 2514 and it recovered most of what I need including my current spreadsheet. But I cannot open this spreadsheet but can open others that were also deleted.
What can I do?

if you managed to recover some and not others I would say possibly in the process of installing the recovery software you may have overwritten some of the file, best to install the recovery software onto another drive to increase chances of bringing the dead back...

Search the internet for a program called "Encase" it's forensic data recovery software. I've seen it used to recover data from a destroyed HDD. It will pull stuff off a disc that has been formated several times.
You might be able to find an 'evaluation' version floating around.
