    Angry Another media beat-up

What a beat-up. ABC Online Headline at 7.00am today AEDT, "Woods Seriously Injured in car wreck". Blah blah blah, crikey I thought so off I go to CNN.com to read all about it. CNN Report, "The golfer was taken to Health Central Hospital, where he was treated for facial lacerations and released, Bruhn said."..He was driving this. Attachment 123070 Now I ask you, if you were driving a tank like this you think you'd be pretty safe from serious injury after hitting A FIRE HYDRANT. Stupid media. He'll make another gazillion bucks for endorsing the Caddie as a life saver!

The report I read also said that the airbags didn't deploy, so perhaps not an endorsement for a Caddy?

I'm pretty sure they don't deploy if speed at impact is less than 10 or 15 kph in any vehicle. But I could be wrong there.

The same report said the impact occurred at 33mph (don't know how they worked that out!), but reports seem to be changing every 30 secs!

I just read about it and the stupidity of the thing is...

According to the Florida State Troopers, if someone requires more medical treatment than what would be provided by the responding paramedics, the injuries are classified as "serious".

    Thumbs down

It got 2nd item on the news for a so what who gives a toss. Not news worthy to my thinking, sports maybe, maybe - and that's even dragging the bottom of the barrel.

More important things happened in the world today, than crapola like that.

There are reports that he'd had a barnie with his wife. That would explain the real reason she knocked out the back window of the SUV with a golf club.

Tiger has a charity golf tournament this week end in Thousand Oaks (I think), CA. He is a no show due to the incident. That is all that there is to it. You or I would call in to work to tell the boss that we have the flu. We wouldn't describe the flu symptoms, just that we won't be at work this week end.

Now our local (Los Angeles) media has been going on and on about Tiger. I don't think that MJ rising from the dead would have this amount of media coverage.

He had already said that he was going to miss the tournament due to his injuries suffered in the car crash, yet they said basically all he had was a few cuts around his lips....and somehow you can't play golf !?!??! I've known guys to play golf with injuries a lot more serious than a cut lip.

Besides, if it's a charity event, why would he have to play at his best anyway?

That's what got me a little suss at first..now I feel justified !
