AUSTRALIAN rules rules. Footy has reclaimed top spot in the ranking of Australia's favourite sports, according to a nationwide survey. It replaces swimming. The biannual Sweeney Sports Report, released in summer and winter, found AFL reached a new peak.

Benny. did we realy need a survey to tell us what we already know:confused: real footy aka aussie rules is the GREATEST sport develpoed in the universe since the big bang. theirs nuthin like it. people carry on about this so called world game. after watchin the w/cup quallifier it made me realise just how lucky ere to have our own magnificent tough unique contest. and it would be peeeerfect if we could just get rid of collingwood

Yeah, I know us Aussie Rules fans know nothing about ballet. Rugby followers on the otherhand are certainly experts at tu-tu wearing.

just relogate them to victorias second tier comp the vfl because thats where they realy deserve to be, and we can still amuse ourselfs at their inadequacies.

is it true they have lost 11 out of their last 12 attempts at winning a flag:confused:  they were lucky in 1990 - if (my most hated player since) sumich had of kicked a goal and their was no draw the bommers would have been better prepared and not had the extra week off (some hadnt played for a month ) they would have wooped yus . even the 4 on the trot in the late 20`s were given to you unfairly.

all in all the aledged great team who call them selfs the pies (named after the most cowardly bird in the world who only attacks you when you have your back turned) are easly the most over rated and over glorified sporting team not only in australia but the world

Want a copy of the 90 final Video???? A must see.
With Eddie having more time to concentrate on his Presidency the Pies will only prosper further.

As much as we hate the oppositions it would be a sad day not to have the Pies, Caaaaaarllllton, Bombers etc etc all there. Be like not having the Poms in cricket or Darksiders in woodwork etc.

You may also not be aware that Ron Barassi worked on a ballet with Robert Helpman in 1964.

Ballet and AFL - hand in hand
